Welcome to Plains Methodist Church, located in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. We are excited you have elected to investigate our website! Hopefully, you will discover that we are a church family that is committed to loving Jesus and our neighbor and devoted to following God’s Word.

Plains Methodist Church is committed to reaching out to our community and world. We are actively seeking new and vibrant ways to reach people and make disciples for Jesus Christ. One such way is our new Upward Sports flag football and cheerleading league that occurred in the Spring of 2025.

We approach any new endeavor with prayer and discernment to ensure it is consistent with God’s word and His plans for our church and community. Plains Methodist Church is centered on prayer for others. Our quilting ministry is one example of how much we care for people inside and outside the church. At Plains you will be loved, welcomed and nurtured in your faith journey. Our ultimate hope is that all people will come to Christ and grow in that relationship.
